Diversity in Sport Conference 2021

We are delighted to announce the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) – Diversity in Sport Regional Conference (DISC). The 5th annual conference will be hosted virtually, April 16th-17th, 2021.

DISC is a yearly student-driven event targeting traditionally underrepresented students and early career professionals interested in careers in Sport and Exercise Psychology (SEP). The event is typically held annually at a historically black college and university (HBCU) or a minority and Hispanic serving institution (MSI and HSI). DISC is sponsored by AASP and hosted by UNC Greensboro and Winston-Salem State University.

The conference will promote diversity and inclusion in applied SEP settings and foster the personal and professional growth of students interested in entering the SEP field by encouraging dialogue around diversity issues in applied SEP settings. The conference is supported by AASP’s Diversity Committee.
