SUMMARY:Personal Growth Club: Gratitude and ikigai
DESCRIPTION:Make a gratitude list; understanding gratitude; reflect on areas of life to develop appreciation; developing the attitude of gratitude; Paul’s active and short meditations for the week. \nEVENT FORMAT \nEach session is around ninety minutes. The facilitator will lead an interactive program for an hour\, followed by fifteen minutes questions and answers\, followed by fifteen breakout rooms socials. \nTHE INSPIRATION BEHIND PERSONAL GROWTH CLUB \nWe live in a period of extended isolation. Today we have more time to reflect inwards than any time in human history. Through our respective journeys and our friendship\, we have realized the importance of a purpose or “ikigai.” “Ikigai” is a Japanese word that means “a reason for being.” We both are blessed to have lived a life of purpose\, and we want to share our learnings. We believe a meaningful life is a fulfilling life\, and we can\, through practice\, make our daily routines something to look forward too. As academics\, we believe in lifelong learning. In this time of isolation\, we can perhaps increase our self-awareness and understand\, find\, and live our “ikigai.” We believe retirement is not the end but the beginning of a love affair of self with spirit. \n Personal Growth Club: Gratitude and ikigai image\nLEARNING OUTCOMES \nLesson 1: Learning what we need from life and ourselves\, as human beings \nLesson 2: Ikigai – finding purpose and meaning in our live \nLesson 3: Navigating the shifting emotional currents of life \nLesson 4: Finding harmony and alignment between the inner and outer selves \nLesson 5: How to use meditation to further personal growth and maintain spiritual connections

SUMMARY:How to Navigate Racial Trauma at Work
DESCRIPTION:About this Event\n“If we all speak up and engage in small and large acts that pursue love\, peace\, and justice\, we can dismantle the systemic structures that promote racism\, xenophobia\, White supremacy\, and privilege.” — Sheila Wise Rowe \nLeaders today understand that making progress with diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, belonging\, and accessibility is a journey of cultural change that they must undertake. \nWhat are you doing to propel change and inclusion within your company culture and beyond? \nDiversity\, equity and inclusion — commonly referred to as DEI — has become increasingly important in the workplace. Employers must now actively work to create meaningful change in spite of the history of injustice that has marginalized underrepresented groups within the workplace. \nAs communicators\, we are charged with shaping our organization’s reputation and creating value for brands. No matter the title or position at work\, we all have a responsibility to further cultivate diversity\, advance equity and practice inclusion in our communications. \nYour BIPOC employees may be hurting right now\, especially in light of the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder and rising incidences of Asian hate. \nThey need support now\, more than ever. In this presentation\, we share ideas on how you as an employer or a leader provide this vital support and help your employees or co-workers overcome racial trauma. \nJoin us as we strive to move the conversation forward. This discussion is open to professionals and business owners interested in learning more about leadership for a changing demographic. \nLet’s discuss how transformational leadership is enacted for diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, belonging\, and accessibility within your teams and programs. \nOur forum provides a safe space to have relevant discussion\, with an emphasis on diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, belonging\, and accessibility. \nWe invite leaders from throughout the country to infuse their knowledge and wisdom with the group so that we can have an enriching and deepening shared experience. \nPlease join us! \n“As people of color living in America (and around the world) continue to be impacted by racism and racial trauma\, we will need God’s grace\, stamina\, and resilience to stay well.” — Sheila Wise Rowe

SUMMARY:The Upside of Struggle - with Grace Marshall
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special event with author Grace Marshall and learn how to respond positively to life’s more difficult moments.\nAbout this event\nCan we find a new way to overcome our struggles?\nIn her work as a productivity expert\, Grace Marshall spends her life helping others who are struggling. She has discovered that it’s often in the midst of struggle or crisis that our creativity and innovation can flourish\, when given space and time. \nAt this event\, Grace will discuss how we can take a fresh approach when we or those around us are struggling. She’ll share how we can identify areas of freedom and opportunity that often only appear in crisis and make the most of them. She’ll also show us how to find strength in others and build supportive relationships\, championing compassion and collaboration rather than battling single-handedly or trying to “do it all”. \nThe event will take place on Zoom at 7pm London time (BST).
